Afriilink is operated by The 36th Company Ltd (RC: 9415701). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform at afriilink.com. By using Afriilink, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you register, we collect your name, email address, username, and password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing). You may also optionally provide a profile photo, header image, and bio.
Profile content
We store the links, titles, icons, and other content you add to your Afriilink page.
Analytics data
We collect anonymised data about visits to your public profile page and clicks on your links, including approximate geographic location (country level only), device type, and referrer URL. We do not store full IP addresses — they are hashed immediately.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. We receive confirmation of payment status and your Stripe customer ID only.
Usage data
We may collect information about how you use the dashboard, such as features accessed and settings changed, to improve our product.

Service providers
We share data with trusted service providers who help us operate Afriilink: Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudinary (image storage), Stripe (payment processing), and Vercel (hosting). Each is bound by strict data processing agreements.
Public profile
Your username, name, bio, profile photo, header image, and active links are publicly visible to anyone who visits your Afriilink page.
Legal requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Afriilink, our users, or others.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase (EU region). We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong unique password.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in.
6. Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection — object to certain processing of your data

7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping purposes.

Afriilink is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice on the platform. Your continued use of Afriilink after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
